Sixty American diplomats have left the US embassy in Moscow after being expelled by the Russian government. It is the latest move in a diplomatic spat over allegations of Russian involvement in the poisoning of former spy Sergei Skripal.

The charges against Maria Butina relate to building relationships with officials and infiltrating organizations with influence in US politics. Court documents show her actions revolved around the 2016 election.
