Continental, the German maker of tires and auto parts, is to pass on recent oil price rises to its customers, chairman Manfred Wennemer said in a newspaper interview published Monday. "We have to continue to work on our costs and we have to pass on price increases to our customers," Wennemer told the Financial Times Deutschland. "It cannot be that the car parts industry, and the tire-making industry in particular, carries these costs alone," Wennermer said. "We're therefore going to go to our customers and ask them for their contribution."
