The Republic of Nigeria is a country in West Africa and is the most populated on the continent. It’s a country with over 500 different languages and many different religions.

Have you ever seen a spring that bubbles both salt and fresh water? Have you ever exchanged bananas to play softball with monkeys? Do you know what the dusty wind feels like during the Harmattan season in Sub-Saharan Africa?
If the answer to any of these questions is no, then you haven’t been to Nigeria– a diverse place that is rich in culture and tradition. Here is a land that is made up of more than 250, that’s right, 250 ethnic groups! Each has their own distinct language, culture and traditions.
Upon your arrival, you are greeted by the sights of African wildlife. Then you can sample the irresistible taste of Bambarra nuts which are rich in protein and minerals. Next you can go see Olumo rock in Ogun state or visit the Ogbunike caves in Anambra state, located in eastern Nigeria. The waterfalls in Calabar are also an intriguing place that every person should see once during their lifetime– even if it means viewing them on the internet.
Life here is quite simple. During the early mornings you can witness the rush as people make their way to the central markets. Because there are only a few supermarkets and shopping malls, almost everything is bought and sold in the open central market. In the afternoon, the villages are very quiet. Evenings are full of lively activities like the local dances, the moonlight tales or the communal dinner. All of these activities are enough to keep you up until late at night. But have no fear of missing your early-morning appointments because the sound of the crickets will send you to an early sleep and the song of the hummingbirds near your window will wake you before sunrise.
On your departure, you may be lucky enough to get close to the waving flowers of Enugu which bid tourists farewell.
Come and discover this magical country and share in her beauty.
