Following a terrorist attack in Colombia's Cauca region, guerrilla action is once again emerging.

Bogota has blamed FARC dissidents for the deaths of two local politicians in the Cauca region. The killing comes just days after some prominent members of the dissolved FARC rebel army announced a return to arms.
Protesters in Colombia have demanded that the president meet with Indigenous groups to discuss rising violence in parts of the country. Trade unions and student groups have also called for a national strike.
Indigenous women are often the victims of sexual violence in Colombia, but the gang rape of a young girl by soldiers shocked the country. Unfortunately, it was not an isolated incident.
The Misak community in western Colombia wants to preserve its ancestors' traditions and horticultural knowledge while responding to ongoing deforestation in the region.
