China has condemned the mass resignation of pro-democracy lawmakers in Hong Kong as quote 'poltical farce' and a 'blatant challenge'. The opposition bloc resigned en masse after four of their colleagues were expelled from parliament for what China described as being 'unpatriotic'. The pro-democracy lawmakers staged a final protest in the assembly and have vowed to fight on.
