Capturing lemurs as pets

Pet ownership of lemurs is threatening the primate’s survival, according to a study published in the journal Oryx. A team of researchers surveyed households across the northern half of Madagascar and estimated that as many as 28,000 lemurs have been kept illegally as pets. DW talks to the study’s lead researcher Kim Reuter to find out more.
