The best pictures from Matchday 31 in the Bundesliga, as Borussia Dortmund bounced back from their derby defeat, Hoffenheim thrashed RB Leipzig and Cologne were as good as relegated. But is there new hope for Hamburg?
Rambo to the rescue
Marco Reus' penalty is saved by Bayer Leverkusen's stand-in goalkeeper Ramazan "Rambo" Özcan. But Reus wasn't to be denied and found the net twice in the second half as Borussia Dortmund won 4-0.
Fog of war
Green smoke billows from the away end in Stuttgart as the visiting Werder Bremen ultras put on a show in support of their team. Their view may have been obscured somewhat but there wasn't much to see anyway as their team slumped to a 2-0 defeat - which guaranteed Stuttgart's safety.
"Fire us to Europe!"
That was the message from the Eintracht Frankfurt fans ahead of kick-off against Hertha Berlin - but the game didn't go to plan for the Eagles. Hertha won 3-0 and Frankfurt's Makoto Hasebe was sent off. Nevertheless, the Europa League is still in sight for Eintracht.
Next stop: Madrid
Bayern Munich warmed up for their Champions League semifinal with a 3-0 win in Hannover. In the stands, the champions' supporters had their own warm-up in the form of this display.
Still fighting
Lewis Holtby celebrates defiantly after scoring Hamburg's winner in the relegation six-pointer against Freiburg. The win moved HSV to within five points of the relegation play-off spot with three games to play, starting away at fellow strugglers Wolfsburg next week. They couldn't do it again, could they?
Spilled it
It was a day to forget for RB Leipzig and goalkeeper Peter Gulacsi (pictured). The Hungarian stopper is usually a safe pair of hands but he spilled Nico Schulz's 14th-minute shot into the path of Mark Uth (pictured) who gave Hoffenheim the lead. Gulacsi had to pick the ball out of his net four more times before the day was out.
Not ready!
Wolfsburg goalkeeper Koen Casteels was left bewildered on Friday night after Borussia Mönchengladbach midfielder Christoph Kramer cheekily took a free-kick before the Wolves stopper was ready. Casteels was still organizing his wall when the ball bobbled passed him, but the referee saw nothing wrong and awarded the goal.
"Next season's number one relegation candidates, again?"
Augsburg have secured their seventh Bundesliga season on the bounce after a 2-0 win against troubled Mainz. Alfred Finnbogason (pictured) secured the home side's win with his 90th minute goal. At full-time, the players donned t-shirts emblazoned with the above message, mocking the country's pundits, most of whom had named Augsburg as a safe bet for relegation this season.
Is it a bird, is it a plane?
No, it's Timo Horn! Once again, the Cologne goalkeeper was called upon to rescue his team and help secure a 2-2 draw against high-flying Schalke, here racing out of his goal and making himself big to deny Yevhen Konoplyanka. But the point won't be enough for Cologne, who are as good as relegated.
