The gambling industry in Lagos is booming. The country has been facing high levels of unemployment and poverty and Nigerians are now turning to games of luck. That means tax income for the state – and a growing number of gambling addicts.
Though alcohol and tobacco consumption have both dropped, Germans remain among the leading consumers in the developed world. Authorities are also worried about the rise in citizens addicted to gambling.
