E-scooters in Berlin

Berliners fed up with pollution, traffic and a shortage of parking are looking for alternatives to cars. One comes in the form of bright red electric scooters that can be rented whenever and wherever they’re needed.

Electro-scooters on the move

As Germany presses ahead with its clean energy ambitions, efforts are also underway to make electric cars a more prominent feature on the nation's roads. So far, the movement has been slow to take off, but there are alternatives for those determined to travel in an environmentally sound manner. A Berlin-based company is betting on electric scooters. Our reporter took one for a test ride.
