Online applications for the bilingual, interdisciplinary International Media Studies Master's program are still being accepted. The application deadline is April 30, 2014.
The sixth International Media Studies program (IMS) gets underway this fall. Those interested can apply online only until March 31, 2014. Written applications sent by mail will not be accepted. You can find detailed information on the program here.
Students who successfully complete the four semester program are awarded a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree. The program offers an unparalleled mix of research, lectures and practical experience and combines the disciplines media and development, journalism, communications and media management.
The course is targeted at young international journalists, media managers and communication professionals from around the world. Applicants require a Bachelors degree (B.A) or equivalent and must provide proof of at least one year of professional experience in a media-related field after completing their undergraduate degree. Prospective students must also provide proof of language skills in both German and English.
The total fee for the four semester IMS program is 6,000 euros. Each year we award 10 full scholarships to applicants from developing countries. The scholarships include 750 euros per month, plus tuition fees and travelling costs.
DW Akademie offers an excellent infrastructure for this bilingual interdisciplinary program, which is run in cooperation with the University of Bonn and the Bonn-Rhine-Sieg University of Applied Sciences.
