'An Enemy of the People'

Plays put on by the cast of the Schaubühne are a popular German cultural export. Their production of Henrik Ibsen's An Enemy of the People has been staged in 25 different countries.

Director Thomas Obermaier's productions are characterized by interacting with members of the audience. It's one of the ways that Obermaier deals with social criticism, a hot topic of cross-cultural debate right now. The result: a lively debate between the actors and the public.
