Advocaat Resigns as Gladbach Manager

Dick Advocaat has stepped down as coach of struggling German soccer team Borussia Monchengladbach. The 57-year-old Dutchman offered his resignation after Saturday's 1-1 draw with Mainz 05 -- only for the club management to reassure him of his future -- but now the former Rangers and Holland coach has decided to throw in the towel after five months in charge.
