German energy company RWE has struck a deal to deliver natural gas to Ukraine. The gas is to be delivered through a pipeline across neighboring Poland. It's an important agreement for Ukraine, as Russia has threatened to halt its gas supplies.
However Russian state-owned firm Gazprom isn't pleased with the unexpected competition and Ukrainian national gas company Naftogaz says Gazprom is trying to prevent the delivery of large supplies. Report by Karl Harenbrock
