Atina’daki mülteci oteli
Atina’daki Plaza Otel, 300'den fazla mültecinin yeni yuvası oldu. Şehir merkezindeki otel uzun süre boş durdu. Daha sonra eylemcilerin işgal ettiği otel bir mülteci yurduna çevrildi. Jodi Hilton Atina’dan bildiriyor.
Aile dostu otel
Plaza Oteli nisan ayı sonunda mülteciler için açıldı. O tarihten beri burada Afganistan, İran, Irak ve Suriye’den gelen çocuklu aileler, yaşlılar ve yardıma muhtaçlar başta olmak üzere 300’den fazla kişi yaşıyor.
Yıllardır kapalı
Otel mali sorunlar ve Yunanistan’daki ekonomik kriz nedeniyle kapanmıştı. Sahibi satmak istedi. Sonra eylemciler burayı işgal etti. Bugün resepsiyonda otel müşterileri yerine sığınmacılar ve mülteciler karşılanıyor. Hepsi odalarının anahtarını buradan alıyor.
Suriye’den yeni gelenler
Bu Suriyeli aile de otele yerleşmek istiyor. Yeni konuklar daha önce çoğunlukla mülteci kamplarında yaşıyordu. Kamptaki yaşam koşullarının kabul edilemez olduğunu söylüyorlar. Sınırlı gıda ve hijyen sorunları olduğunu aktarıyorlar.
Temizlik personeli yok
Mülteciler bina odaların temizliğini hergün kendileri yapıyor. Suriyeli bu iki çocuk 10 yaşındaki Sezer ile 7 yaşındaki Sidra da elektrikli süpürgenin odalar arasında taşınmasına yardımcı oluyor.
Korunma arayışında
Afgan bilgisayar uzmanı ve çevirmen Ali Caferi, eşi ve oğluyla önce Atina-Hellinikon’daki eski havaalanı bölgesinde yaşadı. Caferi kaçmaya başladıklarında sınırların açık olduğunu söylüyor. Aile Yunanistan’a ulaştıktan üç hafta sonra Avrupa’ya gidişler kapatıldı.
Bir elin nesi var, iki elin sesi var
Mülteciler yemeklerini de otel mutfağında kendileri pişiriyor. Bazen bu İtalyan kadın gibi gönüllü yardımcıları da oluyor. Buraya hergün bağışlanan gıda maddeleriyle üç çeşit yemek hazırlanıyor.
Yemek zamanı
Hazırlanan yemekler, yemek salonunda otel konuklarına servis ediliyor. Farklı milletlerler insanlar burada hem birlikte yemek yiyiyor hem de sohbet ediyor.
Uyku zamanı
3 yaşındaki Fidan Davud ve 7 yaşındaki ağabeyi Rashid Suriye’nin Afrin kentinden. Plaza Otel’e yerleşmeden önce anneleri Lava’nın anlattığına göre 100 kişinin yaşadığı, tek banyolu eski bir evde kalıyorlarmış. Şimdi kendi tuvaletleri ve duşları var.
Çocuklar için oyun salonu
Gönüllüler çocukları da düşünmüş. Otelde yarısından fazlasını gençlerin ve çocukların oluşturduğu konuklar için bir etkinlik ve oyun salonu ayrılmış. Yunanistan’da mahsur kalmış 50 bin mülteci ve sığınmacı arasındaki çocukların oranı oldukça yüksek. © Deutsche Welle Türkçe
