Viongozi wa Umoja wa Ulaya wailalamikia Urusi

Viongozi wa Umoja wa Ulaya wameishutumu Urusi Ijumaa(29.11.2013)kwa kuingilia masuala ya ndani ya Ukraine baada yanchi hiyo kutupilia mbali makubaliano na Umoja wa Ulaya yenye lengo la kuivuta karibu na Umoja wa huo.

Cha muhimu ni uhuru kamili

"Nyakati za kuwa na uhuru wa kiwango fulani tu zimepitwa na wakati katika bara la Ulaya," rais wa halmashauri ya Umoja wa Ulaya Jose Manuel Barroso amesema mwishoni mwa mkutano huo.

"Hatuwezi kukubali , kuwa na aina fulani ya veto kwa nchi ya tatu. Hii ni kinyume na misingi yote ya sheria za kimataifa," ameongeza.

Mkutano huo wa siku mbili katika mji mkuu wa Lithuania , Vilnius katika eneo la mashariki ya Umoja wa Ulaya ulikuwa uwe ni mwanzo wa msukumo wa miaka mitano wa kuimarisha mahusiano baina ya kundi hilo la mataifa na Belarus, Ukraine, Moldova, Georgia , Armenia na Azerbaijan.

Lakini rais wa Ukraine Viktor Yanukovich aliziba masikio dhidi ya rai kutoka kwa viongozi wa kundi hilo lenye mataifa wanachama 28 kukubali mkataba huo wenye mambo mengi ya kibiashara na kisiasa, akisema mbinyo wa kiuchumi kutoka Moscow, nchi ambayo inapingana na makubaliano hayo, unaathiri uchumi wa nchi yake.

Maelfu ya waandamanaji wanaopendelea makubaliano hayo na mataifa ya magharibi waliingia mitaani katika miji mbali mbali ya Ukraine wakipinga msimamo wa kiongozi wao na kutoa wito ajiuzulu.

Wakizungumza na kiasi ya waungaji wao mkono 10,000 , viongozi wa upinzani wamesema kuwa Yanukovich anapewa muda hadi katikati ya mwezi Machi mwakani kutia saini makubaliano hayo na Umoja wa Ulaya.

Rais wa Ufaransa Francois Hollande ameahidi kuwa "mlango wa Umoja huo utaendelea kuwa wazi kwa watu wa Ukraine iwapo watataka."

Mataifa madogo ya Georgia na Moldova wakati huo huo yameanzisha makubaliano ya kisiasa na kibiashara ambayo yatalazimika kutiwa saini rasmi katika miezi ijayo ili kuweza kufanyakazi.

Rais mpya wa Georgia Giorgi Margvelashvili ameyaita makubaliano hayo "siku ya kihistoria kwa Georgia, "siku ya kihistoria kwa Ulaya " lakini akaongeza " tunachukua tahadhari" wakati alipoulizwa iwapo anatarajia kukabiliwa pia na mbinyo kutoka Urusi.

Ameongeza kuwa wanajaribu kutoa ujumbe kwa nchi zote kuwa Georgia yenye ustawi na demokrasia itakuwa kwa manufaa ya majirani zake wote, ikiwa ni pamoja na shirikisho la Urusi.
