WorldLink: Returning to civilian life after war

After 50 years of conflict that has left 220,000 dead and nearly seven million displaced, Colombia’s FARC rebels are now laying down their arms. The rebels, who said they were defending peasant farmers, soon turned to drug trafficking, kidnapping and extortion to fund their political goals. Now, they are leaving it all behind and preparing for a return to civilian life.
