A social worker in Canada has been described as a civil rights heroine after a human rights tribunal agreed with her that the Canadian government discriminates against First Nations children on reserves. Cindy Blackstock, together with the Assembly of First Nations, first brought the case to the Canadian Human Rights Tribunal a decade ago.
