On the pacific island of Vanuatu, people are managing to provide for their population without reducing biodiversity or damaging the land. The Taro homegardening project there is recognized as a Globally Important Agricultural Heritage Systems of the UN’s Food and Agricultural Organization, FAO. Udo Schmidt went to Vanuatu to find out more about taro, and Natalie Muller presents his report.
