They've paid with their health for the global hunger for gold: Some 300,000 South African gold miners suffer from silicosis, an incurable lung disease that's caused by inhaling dust in the mines. Now several thousand miners are taking the gold industry to court in a class action lawsuit, fighting for compensation worth billions. Jan Philippe Schlüter met some of the miners in the Eastern Cape.
