World in Progress: Sexual Violence in Guatemala

A.Mow/ S.Stubager March 2, 2016

Rape was used as a weapon of war during Guatemala's long civil war two decades ago, and sexual violence continues to haunt women today. Most victims are teenage girls, and many of them face a difficult future as single mothers, with no means to care for themselves and their children.
