A global radio initiative called "Radio Everyone" shared an episode of its series "Global Superheroes" with us, where we meet Lucas Torades. Lucas works as a maternity outreach officer in Tanzania to help improve the health of women. One of the biggest challenges he faces is trying to convince village elders to allow mothers to go to hospital, rather than be treated by a local witch doctor.
