World in Progress: How is Tibet faring?

Exiled Tibetans recently voted for a new leader. Lobsang Sangay was reelected and continues to guide the 150,000-odd Tibetan diaspora since its religious leader, the Dalai Lama, gave up power five years ago. Sangay has vowed to revive the push for autonomy. But according to China, Tibet already has autonomy. Instead, China highlights the economic development it has brought to the region.
