Ethiopia is suffering through a political crisis and a recurring drought. But it’s also place of fascinating ancient culture. One of its most impressive treasures is the group of rock-cut churches in the north of the country, dating back to the 12th and 13th centuries. Linda Staude joined the growing groups of domestic and international visitors.
