World In Progress: African refugees not welcome in Canada?

Canada has been internationally praised for the way it has resettled thousands of people who've fled Syria. Since November 2015 about 40,000 refugees from Syria alone have come to Canada. But, in the same period, just 10,000 refugees have come from all of Africa - even though they are fleeing conflict, too, and are in dire need of protection.
