Nearly half of young people in Spain are out of work. Many graduates are unable to find work and most of those who have a job are working in unskilled positions.
The rest are often left competing for unpaid positions in their desired field.
Unemployment in the eurozone remained unchanged in August underlining Europe's steady economic recovery. Youth unemployment nonetheless remains high in many countries.
Greece's young professionals and graduates are escaping economic hardship at a rate of over 100,000 per year, according to the Bank of Greece. They have gone to Germany, Britain and the United Arab Emirates.
Europe's largest economy keeps powering ahead amid higher growth on the continent and elsewhere, creating more and more jobs and driving the unemployment rate down to its lowest level since German unification in 1990.
