#wanttoknow! – Tomorrow Today’s view question comes from Rubén Soria from Mendoza, Argentina.
Scientists have said that Ross 128b has a similar mass and surface temperature to that of Earth. Of the thousands of planets discovered outside the solar system, only 50 exhibit Earth-like conditions.
As a humble Earth-bound species, humanity has been lucky enough to avoid major asteroid collisions. As we take our first steps into space, scientists are working on ways to protect Earth – before our luck runs out.
Hurricanes need horizontal and vertical movement to develop. Both are possible on other planets. There are even storms with liquids other than just water, such as methane. Metals are not well suited to cause storms.
If you think Earth is plentiful, wait until we get to space. Many thousands of near-Earth asteroids are littered with valuable minerals, and the moon miners are lining up for a dust rush. But one man is ahead of us all.
