A two-year-old boy has accidentally shot and killed his mother at a Wal-Mart store in the northwestern US state of Idaho. According to officials, the woman had a concealed weapons permit.
The toddler found the gun on Tuesday after reaching his mother's handbag at the store in the town of Hayden.
According to Kootenai County sheriff's office, the woman had been shopping with her son and three other children at the time of the shooting.
Lieutenant Stu Miller, a spokesman for the sheriff, tweeted:
Officials also said that the woman had a concealed weapons permit. Her identity has not yet been released.
Following the shooting, employees evacuated the store before closing.
