Anti-government protesters in Ukraine appear undeterred by a new law that restricts the right to hold demonstrations. They're planning a big rally for Sunday in Kiev.
Demonstrators have protested against DW honoring Iranian political scientist Sadegh Zibakalam with its "Freedom of Speech Award," arguing that he is too close to the regime. Zibakalam rejects that allegation.
Ukraine's state security agency has raided the offices of a Russian state-owned media outlet in Kyiv. Security agents also arrested a Ukrainian-born Russian journalist, accusing him of treason.
