Two German engineers were killed on Tuesday in a drive-by shooting in the town of Mussayab, south of Baghdad, according to Iraqi and U.S. officials. Two Iraqis, a driver and a policeman, were also killed in the attack; two other Iraqi police officers were wounded. The two unnamed Germans were water experts working on a development project at Al-Razzaza lake near the southern city of Karbala. The six victims were travelling in two cars when they were attacked, said the head of the Karbala police force. The Germans were armed, as they had previously come under attack in the same area. Polish forces responsible for security in the region transported their bodies to a base for international troops in Hilla, and are looking for the gunmen.
