TT Afghanistan: What was achieved since the last Afghanistan conference in January

Welcome Back. NATO is planning a gradual withdrawal from Afghanistan - with Afghan forces taking control of the country's provinces one by one. Today, a conference of top international delegates in Kabul is discussing the future course of the country. President Hamid Karzai is seeking to strengthen the international community's confidence in Afghanistan and says he is certain Afghans can take over responsibility for the country's security by 2014. This meeting comes six months after the last major international Afghanistan conference in London. In our first report we look at what was achieved there - and what still needs to be done.
