The Japanese Olympic Committee has set up an investigative team to see if there were any illegal payments made to a Singapore firm which have entangled Tokyo's winning 2020 Olympic bid in a bribery investigation.
The head of Brazil's Olympic committee allegedly paid a $2 million bribe to secure votes for Brazil. The allegations came as police revealed a nine-month investigation into the corruption behind the Olympic bid.
The son of the former IAAF president Lamine Diack is at the heart of a corruption racket that involved vote buying for the Olympics, says the French financial prosecutor. Tokyo 2020 and Rio 2016 are under investigation.
