A new report out by Human Rights Watch says Indonesia isn't doing enough to fight child labor in on tobacco farms. As many as 1.5 million children work on local fields and many are affected by nicotine poisoning from the contact with green tobacco.
June 12 is the World Day Against Child Labour. The UN estimates that 168 million children are being put to work globally. Many of them are in Africa, particularly in the Congo, where cobalt mining by children is rampant.
