The Search for Franco's Victims

Orreaga Oskotz wants justice for the victims of the Spanish Civil War – a conflict that saw thousands executed by Franco's forces and tossed into mass graves. They've never had a proper burial – not even after the end of Franco's dictatorship. It's a topic that a lot of people in Spain would prefer to ignore. Orreaga wants to change that. She's been researching her grandfather's case for years, trying to figure out why he was killed and where he was buried. She believes his remains will be found in a field near her home city of Pamplona. An NGO is helping to fund the exhumation effort. Now, 80 years after the end of the Spanish Civil War, Orreaga Oskotz wants to make sure that her grandfather is buried with dignity.
