Researchers hope that speed dating studies will reveal what really matters when it comes to flirting.

New research has shown that human partner selection – despite lower birth rates and emancipation – is still guided by our evolutionary heritage. Driven by primordial instincts, the human being is constantly on the look-out for the most attractive partner with the best possible genetic make-up. It is a universal pattern that takes its course every time two people flirt. Our senses need just split seconds to decide whether the person opposite is a potential partner.

In the documentary, “The Power of Sex Appeal”, biologists, sociologists and psychologists search for the secret of sexual attraction.
