The researchers are examining the social, physical and mental factors that could determine whether we live to a ripe old age. They believe that many factors play a role in influencing this - including genetic predisposition. They’re also studying why we develop certain illnesses. Many people are overweight, for example, but not all of them develop diabetes. By the end of it, the researchers hope to be closer to fathoming the secret of a long and healthy life.
