In 1517 Martin Luther penned a document attacking the selling of indulgences. His 95 Theses were to spark the Reformation and the split with the Catholic Church. Germany is celebrating the 500th anniversary of this act.
They worship the same God, but the principles of their faith are different. Five hundred years after the Reformation,there are still painful divisions between Protestants and Catholics.
Don't you know Martin Luther? Why not? Admittedly, the man last made headlines 500 years ago. What's more, there is very little information about him and his life, and it usually consists of half-truths and legends.
