German Chancellor Angela Merkel has said she firmly believes a Brexit deal can be reached despite a lack of details from Britain. Merkel also said EU leaders agreed to cut financial aid to Turkey over rights violations.
Iranian Foreign Minister Zarif has indicated that the nuclear agreement Iran signed with world powers may still have a future. European countries' continued support for the accord may determine if it lasts, he said.
The Republic of Cyprus, an EU member state, will negotiate directly with the UK over its exit from the European Union. A deal will focus on the future status of Cypriot workers on the island's British military bases.
