The Cypriot divide

Ever since Turkey invaded the northern part of Cyprus in 1974, divisions between Greek and Turkish Cypriots have grown deeper. After forty years, it’s only the older generations that remember what co-existence on the island was like - before people from both populations were displaced: Greek Cypriots to the south, Turkish Cypriots to the north.
