Electric car maker Tesla aims to increase production to 500,000 units annually, but it has yet to turn a profit.
The chief executive of US electric carmaker Tesla has warned staff about an unnamed employee who has conducted "extensive and damaging sabotage." He also described a recent fire at the firm as "hard to explain."
The former Tesla employee, whom the US e-carmaker accuses of sabotage and stealing company secrets, has claimed he was sacked because he wanted to speak out about the company's flawed production and resource waste.
US electric carmaker Tesla has announced it will cut about 9 percent of its global workforce to enhance profitability. CEO Elon Musk insisted that Model 3 production would not be affected by the move.
Tesla has revealed plans to shareholders that it's working with Chinese officials to build electric cars and battery packs in Shanghai. The carmaker had looked for a location for its first Gigafactory outside the US.
