Sport against Cancer - tt 02.12.2007

Torsten JostDecember 3, 2007

Going out for a jog straight after chemotherapy is a new idea. Normally patients are told to take things easy. But some leukemia patients are now being encouraged to do sports, breast cancer patients to lift weights. The Sport University in Cologne has teamed up with the Cologne University Clinic to study the effects of sport on cancer patients. The results show that sport helps cancer patients recover and makes them feel better. The study shows that even for people with serious illnesses, sport could be more beneficial than rest.
