South Korea's Science and Technology Minister Ahn Byong-Man said the ground control lost contact with the Naro-I rocket in less than three minutes after lift-off and that it appears to have exploded at an altitude of 70 kilometres. The country's first attempt to put a satellite into orbit last year also failed due to technical problems.Image: AP
