With drastically improved operating efficiencies, Munich-based auto rental company Sixt reported profits during the third quarter despite a soft market for business and personal travel in a weak German economy. For the first nine months of the year, the company reported on Friday, pre-tax profits rose 22.1 percent to 31.7 million euro ($31.93 million). At the same time, however, overall revenues shrunk by 7.4 percent to 1.59 billion.
