Torsten JostMarch 8, 2008

Serbia's nationalist prime minister Vojislav Kostunica has resigned and called new elections. The move follows disagreement with his pro-western coalition partners over Kosovo, and Serbia's future links to the European Union. +++LM REIN+++ Kostunica - seen here in recent file pictures - says that fundamental policy differences had brought down the governing coalition.
