A media producer and writer, Larry Rich has produced many documentaries on questions of social justice. In 2008 he made Lives for Sale, a film about human trafficking in the United States. In 1995, his School of Assassins was nominated for an Oscar. For 19 years he was executive producer of television and radio for Maryknoll, the U.S. Catholic mission organization committed to the marginalized. From 1981 to 1993, Rich worked in Lima, Peru, first as an editor at Latinamerica Press, and then as head of video at the Centro de Acción y Estudios para la Paz, a human rights center.
