Once a year, the Swiss village of Kandersteg travels back in time to La Belle Epoque. Locals and visitors alike don outfits from the early 1900s, play music from the time and even partake in a dance or two.
Generations of children have loved Judith Kerr's books, which have become school reading material worldwide. Kerr fled Nazi Germany with her family in 1933 — a personal tale she wove into "When Hitler Stole Pink Rabbit."
