Rescuers are racing against time to find survivors three days after a devastating earthquake struck Ecuador. Teams from neighboring countries have joined in the search for dozens of people still missing.
A deadly 6.4 magnitude quake has devastated the eastern city of Hualien. Rescuers are searching for at least 60 people who are still missing, while more than 250 people have been injured, some critically.
The prospect of finding any more survivors, more than three days after the earthquake struck, are slim. But rescuers are diligently continuing the search.
Rescuers have honed in on 10 buildings in the hope of finding survivors in the rubble of this week's Mexican earthquake. But, reports of a 12-year old girl thought to have been trapped turned out to be untrue.
The number of those killed continues to rise. Mexico's southwest region remains fearful of further tremors even as it struggles to return to normalcy and officials work to get stranded citizens back in their homes.
