An international youth group visited the former Nazi "euthanasia" facility Pirna-Sonnenstein in Saxony. In the course of the so-called "Action T4" program in 1940 and 1941, the Nazis systematically murdered nearly 14,000 disabled people there.
On Friday, January 27, the Bundestag will honor the hundreds of thousands of victims of Nazi "euthanasia" programs. The killing of those deemed genetically unsuitable was a prelude to the genocide of Jews and others.
Those sterilized and killed by doctors in Nazi Germany have been the focus of a moving ceremony in the German parliament. Relatives of victims told harrowing stories of how their family members were put to death.
