By the banks of the Hron
My birthplace is called Želiezovce. It is a small farming town in southwestern Slovakia that is full of culturally-historic monuments and natural beauty.

The famous Sacher family and Eduard Sacher, the creator or the Sacher-torte, lived in Želiezovce. The Austrian composer Franz Schubert also came here twice to give piano lessons to the Esterházy daughters at their estate.

The town sits on the river Hron and is located in one of the nicest areas in Slovakia as you can see from this picture. The fresh breeze blowing through the trees colored by autumn and the dark blue waters of the river will be sure to enchant visitors.

Meanwhile a new kind of sport called Workout has arrived in Želiezovce, a small town in southwestern Slovakia. More and more young people have recently picked up Workout, which involves full-body training using all of your weight. The main advantage is that you can do Workout indoors or outdoors. Two students from Comenius high school, Gábor and Denis, quickly became dedicated Workout athletes as you can see from these photos.
