Pulse: An artist's studio becomes a safe haven for young Syrian refugees

Report: Theresa Krinninger, CologneOctober 28, 2015

Kurdish artist Hassan Hüseyin Deveci came to Germany in the 1990s from Turkey. Back then he was often viewed with suspicion. That’s what inspired him to do his part to help the refugees arriving in Germany today. Hassan opened his Cologne studio to refugee children and teenagers to help them cope with their trauma through art. The results astonished both him and the children's parents.
