The military standoff in Crimea threatens to escalate after two people are killed in an incident in Simferopol and a pro-Russian militia takes over the Ukrainian navy headquarters in Crimea.
Ukraine's state security agency has raided the offices of a Russian state-owned media outlet in Kyiv. Security agents also arrested a Ukrainian-born Russian journalist, accusing him of treason.
The controversial Crimean Bridge was finished six months early and links Russia's southern Krasnodar region with the Crimean city of Kerch. It's hoped the bridge will help reduce Crimea's reliance on sea transport.
A journalist with dual Russian-Ukrainian citizenship has been charged with treason in Ukraine. Authorities raided the offices of RIA Novosti the Russian state-run news agency. He is expected in court on Thursday.
